Vegan Tofu Dairy Free Cream

vegetarian vegan dairy_free gluten_free egg_free blender
  • 1 packet of firm silken organic non gmo soft tofu (300gm/12oz)
  • 1 Tbsp hulled tahini or almond butter
  • 3 - 4 Tbsp coconut sugar
  • 2 Tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
  • 1 Tbsp orange juice
  • Pinch Celtic sea salt or Himalayan salt
  1. Spoon all of your chosen ingredients into the blender (I use a Vitamix) and puree until smooth and creamy.
  2. Modify to taste – knowing that the flavors will infuse whilst chilling and the mixture will thicken.
  3. This cream gets better with time.
  4. You can add some more orange juice if you wish to make it a bit sweeter or you prefer a thinner consistency.

We eat this a lot as a quick, healthy sweet treat on movie night just as it is with a big bowl of strawberries or sticks of pineapple. We call it “Dip and Delish”.

Piggy Cooking Tips

the best way to clean your blender

After blending up something sticky, gooey or smelly, just place a few drops of soap in the carriage with some warm water and blend on high until all of the congealed food slips away from the blades and sides. Then repeat this process. Then rinse with water and presto! Clean carriage.
If you have smells or stains repeat this process with some bicarbonate of soda or lemon juice and water.
