The Blender Girl’s Raw Recipes in Super Raw Life Magazine Fall 2010

Raw Super Life Magazine Raw Super Life MagazineI am thrilled to announce that I am the lead story in the first issue of Super Raw Life Magazine. When founder and editor-n-chief, Michele Marie Jeppson asked me to contribute I jumped at the chance to share my easy healthy recipes with her readers. Sharing healthy raw recipes is a vegetarian food blogger's dream! In this issue I share some of my favourite raw recipes: my Raw Vegan Coconut Date Shake, Maple Pecan Pie Smoothie, Raw Vegan Key Lime Mousse, Raw Vegan Mayonnaise, and Raw Broccoli Salad.

I am humbled to be joined by some of the most inspiring people in the raw vegan community. Brian James Lucas, AKA Chef BeLive, one of Chef Juliano’s prize students shares how he helps people transition into a raw lifestyle by creating raw recipes that match their cooked counterparts such as Cream of Celery Soup and Mushroom Burgers. Kristen Suzanne, accomplished raw chef, author and teacher shares her love of hemp and some of her favourite raw recipes for Cheezy Hemp Nacho Sauce, Harvest Soup and Pecan Spice Delight Cookies. Rory Reiss from Rawdog Rory, dishes up raw vegan banana ice cream split sundae, raw vegan Green Ya Colada Smoothie, and raw vegan "This Ain’t Tuna" Salad; and RAWkstar Mila Ilina shares some of her favourite raw recipes and tells her story of how Victoria Boutenko and her raw green smoothies led her to transform her life and study to become a raw chef at the Living Light Culinary Arts Institute. Her recipes for raw vegan Arugula Salad with Sweet Mango Vinaigrette, raw vegan Tropical Pineapple Mango Pudding, raw vegan Chocolate Banana Ice Cream and raw vegan Orange-Zest Chocolates are amazing!

Other contributors include cleansing coach Beverly Dunford who shares her tips for better health; holistic life coach Koya Webb shares her workout tips; and bestselling author and motivational speaker “Yo Pal” Hal Elrod, who talks about his journey to creating the “Miracle Morning” routine for personal growth and development. Dr Christy Ferguson, also known as The Food Psychologist, explains how imbalances in your biochemistry can lead to depression and anxiety; and Lola Berry gives her natural remedies for PMS.

Star KheChara, author of The Holisitc Beauty Book, shares how making her own organic natural skin care products lead her to leading a more fulfilling green life, and Emma Couttie MacDougall from Me Raw You Cooked shares her tips for surviving in a "raw vs cooked" relationship.

Also in this issue, editor-n-chief, Michele shares her inspiring personal story of how switching to a raw vegan lifestyle helped her lose over 100 pounds and restore her body to health and vitality;  and the issue rounds out with J.A Steel and her team give us a peek at their sustainable green film-making practices behind the scenes of their upcoming feature, Blood Fare.

Michele and her team of designers have done a wonderful job putting this issue together. It is just gorgeous, really informative, and packed full of delicious raw recipes. You can get your copy of the magazine by heading to Super Raw Life.
