The Blender Girl joins Chow Tips with 5 videos
Piggies: my Chow Tips are live!
Tess Masters The Blender Girl in the Chow Test KitchenI travelled to San Francisco about a month ago to shoot some videos for Chow in their test kitchen at the CBS Interactive headquarters.
This all came about after Chow featured me as their "Member Of The Month" back in February. Chow's senior food editor, Jill Santopietro, and I got along so s'blendedly during our interview that the Chow team invited me to San Francisco to shoot five vegan blender-inspired Chow Tips. As a passionate food blogger this was a dream opportunity!
So off I went, with two Vitamix machines in hand. It was an absolute blast. I worked with Chow's phenomenal executive producer, Meredith Arthur, who is such a kind, generous, amazing lady and kindred spirit of the theatre. We got on like a house on fire and were sisters from the start. Crewmembers Mathew and Daniel were wonderful to work with too. I was disappointed not to have met Jill, who was on maternity leave. Next time! But I did chat with Jane Goldman, founder and Editor in Chief of Chow, who entertained me with wonderful stories about "the early days of Chow." I must confess to being a Jane Goldman groupie, so meeting her was a highlight of my day. She is such an inspiring woman. Oh, and let's not forget the Chow tradition of sticking your CBS pass on the Chow kitchen wall. I was like a giddy schoolgirl, when, as a humble little food blogger, I placed my name alongside some of the most famous chefs, restaurateurs and foodies in America.
Thankyou to the whole team at Chow for this wonderful opportunity, and for making my day with you so enjoyable. Vitamix and I had a lot of fun! Check out the videos and let me know what you think! Or even better, become a Chow member and post a comment under the videos.

Hi! This is kind of off topic but I need some help from an established blog. Is it very hard to set up your own blog? I’m not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I’m thinking about setting up my own but I’m not sure where to begin. Do
It is very quick and easy to set up a blog! Just register a domain name and use a wordpress plugin. There are video tutorials online. Lynda.com has some good ones. Or you can use the Wordpress or Blogger websites, set up a free account, and be blogging in minutes!

Tessie, those videos are FANtastic! Well done. They are just amazing.
