I am half “pig”. Well, the metaphoric, imaginary, cheeky, theatrical side of me. I collect pigs. Chic, beautiful, funny little pigs from all over the world. My favourite is a pig made out of a coconut shell that I got in Hawaii on a trip with my family. It takes pride of place in my kitchen, and reminds me why I cook -- to make memories with loved ones. When sampling new dishes, my friends and I always ask, “Is it snout worthy”? If it’s good we proclaim, “We will be sticking our snouts back in THAT trough!”
Whilst it may seem offensive at first. It’s meant to be fun. On this site, “being a pig” is something to be celebrated, especially when you have your snout in the allergy free recipes trough! Pigs immerse themselves in their enjoyment of food -- dipping their snouts in, rolling around in it, and making fantastic cries of love when they are eating. They celebrate food on a base visceral level. We celebrate that here too.
A “piggy” is any self-respecting foodie and blender devotee. Pigs have unlocked the secret: that blended whole foods taste fantastic, and make life a lot easier!
