The Blender Girl Smoothies book (based on The Blender Girl Smoothies app) is now available, and to celebrate I'm delighted to be partnering with Westin Hotel & Resorts to tour across the United States sharing the incredible power of juices and smoothies, and strategies for healthy living.

Westin continues to lead the charge in innovation. The global Westin Well-Being Movement set the benchmark for hotels around the world to offer wellness options to inspire guests to discover new approaches to well-being, and continue their healthy living practices while on vacation or work trips, and beyond. At Westin, everything they do is designed to help you feel your best. I was blown away by the Sleep Well, Eat Well, Move Well, Feel Well, Work Well, and Play Well programs when I toured with Westin last year with The Blender Girl cookbook, and vowed I would never stay anywhere else. Westin made it so easy for me to eat healthy foods, workout, sleep peacefully, and stay relaxed and grounded during my hectic schedule. I ate so much incredible food, and was really impressed with the Westin SuperFoodsRX™ menu, with so many gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and healthy meal and beverage options.

Well, guess what? Things just got better! Westin now has a phenomenal juice and smoothie initiative! Aaaaahhh! The hotel of my dreams! And how perfect for my smoothies tour! Westin has partnered with The Juicery (check out their juice bars and cafes in London and Toronto) to create Westin Fresh by The Juicery. This initiative is designed to offer incredible fresh juices and smoothies for guests to eat well during their stay. And these aren’t your run-of-the-mill juices and smoothies that you might find at other hotels and restaurants! (You all know how particular I am about my drinks!) The Juicery has commissioned leaders in nutrition and integrative medicine to develop signature recipes that are nutritious, delicious, innovative, and right on the cutting edge of current food trends.

I was so excited when Westin sent me some juice and smoothie recipes to try. I fired up my juicer and blender and had a field day sampling all of the delectable offerings. My favorite juices were Beet, Acai, Pomegranate, Spinach, and Coconut Water; Carrot Honeydew, and Turmeric; Cucumber, Spinach, Romaine, Lemon, Basil, and Coconut; Pear, Spinach, and Fennel; and Mango, Passionfruit, and Noni. I also loved the smoothies: my favorite blends were with almond milk, almond butter, banana, maca, and dates; blueberries, acai, banana, goji berries, and coconut water; cherry, basil, cacao, herbal tea, and dates; lychee, banana, pineapple, and vanilla; and berries, mint, rosewater, and almond milk. Wow! I want to head off on tour just for the drinks!

When you stay at a Westin hotel or resort you can order theses juices and smoothies from in-room dining for breakfast or in the restaurants on site. I’m guessing this program is going to be really popular, and will hopefully expand. Fingers crossed!

Today, I want to share this Beet, Açaí, Pomegranate, Spinach, and Coconut Water juice. This juice is refreshing and delicious, and is great for a detox or immunity boost, and is fantastic for your liver. It’s also really energizing. I’ll share another recipe from Westin and more news while I’m on my tour.
