The next generation of blending has arrived! The new KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series blender is now available in the United States exclusively through Williams-Sonoma.
I'm delighted to announce that I have signed on to be the spokesperson for KitchenAid® blenders. Yes, this is a very big change for me, and it was a huge decision that I thought long and hard about.
When KitchenAid came to me over 18 months ago saying they had a high-speed blender in development I was skeptical. I already loved what I was using, and found it very difficult to believe that anything could be better. However, reason dictates that technology improves, and it was only a matter of time before a company developed something incredible that was going to surpass the performance of the leading blenders in the space.
It's also my job to know about every blender on the market so I can give you the most informed recommendations for blenders at every price point. So, I remained open, and the executives from KitchenAid brought a prototype to my house to try. I was blown away by the design and the power.
But, there were improvements I felt could be made in order to be really happy. So, we worked together for the past year to bring you the best blender we could taking into account feedback I have received from thousands of you over the last five years about your experiences with machines on the market. Once I was satisfied that this machine was the best in every possible way, I signed on.
Times change, and I want to be sharing the latest technology with you. I am so excited about the future, as we have other blenders in development. KitchenAid is just getting started!
The KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series high-speed blender is now the most powerful blender, and it is also the most gorgeous blender I've ever seen. For the first time in the high-speed blender space we have style and substance - a gorgeous machine that you can tailor to your personal style, and a machine that is matched by incredible performance.
This blender takes blending to a whole new level, with the most power at the blade, and the world's first insulated dual-wall container (that heats soup faster than any other machine), a die-cast metal base, stunning colors to match your stand mixer, and a 10-year warranty! To learn more about the features of this blender, watch my videos, and check out this gorgeous video for a close up look at the power of those blades!
I've presented a series of amazing recipe and informational videos with KitchenAid to help you get the most out of your new machine, and I've developed a collection of delicious easy recipes. Follow me all summer long using the hashtag #TheBlendedLife to get all of my favorite recipes and healthy living tips, and use the hashtag to share with me what you're making.
The new KitchenAid® Pro Line® Series blender is available in the U.S exclusively at Williams-Sonoma, with other retailers to follow in the fall. The blender will be available in Europe and Australia in September/October.
There is a base model for $499 and an upgraded model with pre-programmed settings and a dual-wall container for $599. Both machines have the same powerful motor.
To celebrate the launch, KitchenAid and Williams-Sonoma are offering an incredible rebate offer. Purchase the Pro Line® Series blender before June 30th and receive a rebate of $100! Learn more here.
I'm going to be sharing my favorite KitchenAid recipes on the blog this year, and I had to start with a smoothie! I get so many emails asking how to tone down the earthiness of beets in smoothies. Sweet fruits like apple, orange, pear, mango, and pineapple all work really well, as do frozen berries. Adding warming ingredients like ginger, chiles, cayenne, and turmeric, and fresh herbs like basil, mint, and rosemary also help to tone down the pungency.
In this beet berry smoothie, I've used a mixture of unfiltered apple juice, pear, raspberries, and ginger to create a blend that is sweet and refreshing, and has a gorgeous pink color. This smoothie will convert even the most fierce beet skeptic!
*Probiotic Powder - I add 1/2 teaspoon of probiotic powder to all smoothies to replenish stores of healthy bacteria for immunity, digestion, detox, and to balance the acidic effects of high-sugar fruits and other sweeteners. The really potent probiotics require refrigeration. If you have capsules, break the shell and release the powder. Unsweetened probiotic-rich liquids like kefirs (water, coconut water, milk varieties) or kombucha make wonderful health-promoting additions to shakes, too.
*Celtic Sea Salt - I add a pinch (or more) of this alkalizing, mineral-rich salt to all smoothies to boost the natural flavor of fruits and veggies; temper the acidity of sweet fruits and sweeteners; stimulate the lymphatic system; replenish electrolytes; aid digestion; and help the body access energy. I do not recommend adding common table salt which is generally heated to extreme temperatures, iodized, bleached, processed, and refined. This salt does not have the same benefits. If you have a health condition that requires you to limit your sodium intake consult your doctor before adding salt to your smoothies.
